Our Halloween experience this year started out with a parade at Jack's school. It was so much fun to see all of the kids in their outfits. Jack looked very happy to be in the parade... but he didn't show much enthusiasm or recognition for the fact Thom and I were there on the parade route cheering and clapping. I asked Jack later, "Were you surprised to see us?" To which he responded, "No, I expected you to be there... but, why was daddy WEARING THAT HAT?" Thom has a fedora I gave him for Christmas a few years back. I told Jack daddy had on his spy costume, to which he replied with an exasperated sigh.
The low point of the evening was when Jack caught sight of a squirrel going to town on our pumpkins. He ate the 'VOTE' right out of my Barack Obama supporting pumpkin... leading me to believe it was a republican squirrel that had done it.
Thom handed out candy while I walked around with Ms Princess and Sir Clone Trooper. We hooked up with the majority of small kids on our block and thus moved in pack formation from house to house.
Kitty was the only girl... the shiny spakley Princess in among the bats and whatnot.
I enjoyed seeing pics of Mick trick-or-treating because I was stuck at home giving out candy and Chris didn't take any photos. So thanks!
